Camping Rules and Regulations
Welcome Campers! We hope your stay with us will be enjoyable in every respect. Listed below are regulations that have been developed for the safety and enjoyment of our guests. Guests are also responsible for adhering to all regulation that are posted in each specific facility within Storrs Pond Recreation Area.
Guest Check-in:
Check-in time is 12:00pm. Checkout time is 11am.
All guests must stop at the booth each time they enter the Area. If the booth is closed please stop by the office. Guests must check-in and pay at the office prior to heading to their campsite and check out upon departure. If you have arrived in the evening after office hours, we have a large map of the campground just outside of the office door, feel free to take a picture of the map if you are unfamiliar with our campground. Please check back in the morning to check-in and pay your remaining balance.
Quiet Hours:
For the consideration of other campers, quiet hours are observed and enforced between 10pm and 7am. No radio playing, excessive noise, or loud talking is permitted during these hours.
Pets:
Pets MUST be on a leash and under control at all times. Pets are not allowed on the beaches, in the pond at swimming areas, or on the pool deck. Please clean up after your dog.
Campfires:
All campfires must be built and contained to the fire rings provided at each site. All campfires must be out by midnight. Please keep fires low and attended. In addition, the Fire Warden requires a six foot radius around the fire ring be free and clear of wood, debris, leaves, etc. Per NH State Law – No out of state fire wood may be brought into Storrs Pond. Bringing in firewood transports tree-killing insects and diseases. Fireworks are not permitted at any time.
Wood bundles can be purchased from the office for $5.00 and can be delivered to your campsite.
Speed Limit:
The maximum speed limit at Storrs Pond is 10 mph. Please drive carefully! Pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way! Motorized trail bikes, mopeds, and all-terrain vehicles are prohibited in the Area. Mountain Bikes may be used on designated trails, at your own risk. Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, etc. are prohibited in parking areas and all pathways. Speedbumps are not to be used as jumps for skateboards, bicycles or other activities.

Refunds are not given due to weather conditions.
Trash / Recycling:
Trash Cans with bags and recycling bins are provided at each campsite. Please cooperate in keeping your campsite clean and secure your trash in a tightly tied bag in the receptacles provided. Please keep food in tight containers to prevent animals visiting you at night. Please take your cook stove propane canister with you. If left in trash or recycling you will be charged at $10 disposal fee.
Campers Bathhouse:
Our campers’ bathhouse is equipped with bathrooms and hot showers at no extra charge. We take pride in keeping our bathrooms clean. If you are not satisfied with the cleanliness of the bathrooms please stop by the office and let us know.
Tennis:
Campers and registered guests may use the tennis courts on an “as available” basis. To determine availability, check the sign-up sheet posted on the Tennis Hut near the courts.

Swimming is “at your own risk” as there are no lifeguards stationed at the pond. Please use the main beach area for swimming when there are scheduled events at the Byrne Pavilion. Young children must wear bathing suits or swim diapers in the pool and/or pond at all times. We strive to keep the pool open from Memorial Day-Labor Day from 11am -7pm with lifeguards on duty at all times. Depending on circumstances, reservations may be required for pool access.
