VINS Nature Day Camps
For the 2024 season, the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is once again providing its classic children’s nature camp programs at Storrs Pond Recreation Area! VINS offers the following programs at Storrs Pond – Area 5:
Fledglings, for children entering grades 1-3:
- Art in the Wild July 1 – 3rd (no camp on Thur July 4th and Fri July 5th)
- Junior Naturalist July 1 – 3rd (no camp on Thur July 4th and Fri July 5th)
- Water, Water Everywhere July 8 – 12th
- Woodland Scouts July 8 – 12th
- Aqua Quest July 29 – Aug 2nd
Falcons, for children entering grades 4 – 6:
- C.S.I – Countryside Investigators July 1 – 3rd (no camp on Thur July 4th and Fri July 5th)
- Survival Adventures July 8 – 12th
- Aqua Ventures July 29 – Aug 2nd
Each session will be held from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily, Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm on Friday. Vins will offer an Extended Day option until 5:30 pm each camp day.

Montshire Summer Camps
The Montshire Museum of Science WILL NOT be offering its Outdoor Discovery Camp at Storrs Pond for the summer of 2021.
They hope to be back for the summer of 2022. They are offering programs at their site in Norwich. Go to www.montshire.org for more information.
Coyote Hill Mountain Bike Camp
Coyote Hill Mountain Bike Day Camp is excited to be back at Storrs Pond for the summer of 2024. Day campers will learn the basics of mountain biking and bike maintenance. The camps emphasize fun and include games, swimming, and much more. Campers aged 8-12 with all ability levels are welcome. No early drop-offs, please!
The 2024 dates are:
June 24 – June 28, 2024 for campers aged 11-13 (Byrne Pavilion)
July 1 – 5, 2024 for campers aged 8-10 (Byrne Pavilion)
July 15 – 19, 2024 for campers aged 8-10 (Area 5 Pavilion)
