Host an Event

Storrs Pond Recreation Area offers five great options for rent for special events. Three covered Pavilions and two large Tents on grassy areas.

Event sites are available for rent from Mid-May through Columbus Day.
All areas have charcoal grills (charcoal not provided)
Reservations must be made in advance, see contact information below.
Pavilion rentals are between 9:30am – 3:30pm, and between 5pm – 10-pm. Time considerations can be made for large events.

51 - 100	$9.00 Per Person
Over 100	$8.00 Per Person

All charges are per person – minimum charge listed below
A Non-Refundable Deposit of $150.00 is required at time of booking
Final Payment is due on or before the day of the event
Schools: $5.00 per child – Teachers Aids are free

Dimick Pavilion (Minimum Fee $175)

Capacity: 40
The Dimick Pavilion is the perfect spot for a gathering of up to 40 people. Situated on the main beach, and equipped with a grill, it’s within close proximity to the pool, tennis, disc golf and Splash Pad!

Area 5 (Minimum Fee $175)

Capacity: 200+
This is an ideal location for large gatherings. Complete with a covered pavilion, grills, and a large athletic field. Area 5 is within walking distance of swimming, tennis, and the disc golf course. *This site does not have electricity.

Tom Byrne Pavilion (Minimum Fee $200)

Capacity: 150+
Situated on a sandy beach complete with electricity, grills, and a volleyball court. *Swimming from this area is not recommended for young children unless a lifeguard is on duty, which constitutes an additional charge.

Main Area Tent (Minimum Fee $200)

Capacity: 250+
This large grassy area, located next to the sandy main beach and pool, is a perfect place to hold your large event. The Main Area is equipped with a large white 30’x60′ tent and grills. Water and Electric are available from the pool house building.

Marina Tent (Flat Fee $150)

Capacity: 40
This grassy area is located just past the volleyball court by the main beach. It is conveniently located near the pond, splash pad, and pool. There is a small charcoal grill.
